   Similan Island One of Thailand’s most beautiful marine national parks. Is located in Tambol Koh Phra Thong. Covering an area of 80,000 Rai, the park is about 90 kms. South of Koh Surin or 70 kms. West of town. The word Similan from Melayu language means nine (Sembilan). Thus, Similan islands including Koh Hu Yong (Koh Nung), Koh Pa Yang (Koh Song), Koh Pa Yan (Koh Sam), Koh Miang (Koh Si), Koh Pa Yu (comprising Koh Ha and Koh Hok), Koh Hin Pu Zar (Koh Jet), Koh Similan (Koh Paed) and     Koh Ba Ngu (Koh Kao) refer to nine islands. Looking like horseshoes, the Similan bay is blessed with fantastic coral reefs and wonderful undersea rocky clusters. Ranked one of the world’s top ten diving sites, the Similan islands are called a paradise of the southern sea. Interesting attractions in the park include:

Koh Miang or Koh Si   Second largest to Koh Similan, houses the office of the park. Behind bungalows lies a route leading To Lek Beach, a shallow diving site.                      
Lek Beach   Located on Koh Si near the park’s office, is blessed with wonderful coral reefs and stunning fish.
Koh Hu Yong    With a longest white sandy beach compared to any other beach on nine islands annually welcomes sea tortoises from November to February when they land in order to lay eggs.

Koh Hok   Most ideal for shallow sea diving is blessed with large wonderful coral reefs in the east.       Koh Ta Chai   Located north of Koh Similan, has several diving sites. Stunning fish and fantastic coral reefs could be appreciated here.                                                                        
Suan Pla Lai   A large sandy ground situated east of Koh Ha, is the habitat of eels.

Hin Pu Zar or Koh Hua Kalok
       Smallest but the most peculiar, is the 7th island of the Similan islands. Lokking like human skull, the islet is blessed with wonderful undersea world – fantastic coral reefs and stunning fish.
Christmas Point Rocky Cluster   Is located north west of Koh Kao. A large variety of very rare stunning fish are found here.

Fantasy Rocky Clusters    Located west of Koh Paed, are the habitat of varying marine creatures. 
Kuak Bay   Looking like horseshoes is located north of Koh Paed. Coral reefs are found here.    The park could be accessible by boat from the Thab Lamu naval pier, Amphur Tai Muang. The best times for travel to Similan Islands National Park are from November to April.

Surin Islands National Park
  Located in Tambol Khao Phra Thong, Amphur Kuraburi, occupies an area of 135 sq.kms or about 84,375 Rai.  Thepark comprises Koh Surin Nua, Koh Surin Tai, Koh Ri, Koh Klang and Koh Kani.  Along the western coast lie wonderful coral reefs.  Blessed  with  beautiful  bays  and  fertile tropical  forests, the  park  is  ideal  for  both  scuba  diving  and  forest  trekking.  More important, the islands are dwellings of sea   gypsies.  Interesting  natural  attractions in the park  include:
 Koh  Surin  Nua  &  Koh  Surin  Tai  Are blessed  with  over  ten  wonderful  bays  of  which  Mae  Yai,  Mae  Yai  and  Luk  bays  are  most  renowned.  Fantastic undersea world could be experienced here.  Service  Center,  Housed  in the  park’ s  office, displays  history  of  attractions  within  the  park including  exhibition  on  marine  ecology  and  sea  gypsies’  ways  of  living.             
Mai  Ngam  Bay  Natural  Study  Route:    Lying  on  Koh  Surin  Nua, begins  from  the  park’s  office  and  comes  to  an  end  at  Mai  Ngam  bay  where  swimming  and  diving  are  possible.  Coral reefs and varying fish are very attractive.                                                         
Chong  Khat  Bay:   Located  between  Kok  Surin  Nua  and  Koh  Surin  Tai,  is  ideal  for  diving  training.  During water recession, Koh Surin Tai could be   reached on foot.           
Suthep  Bay, (Unseen  In  Thailand) :   Located  north  of  Koh  Surin  Tai,  has  an  undersea  world  study  route.  Along  the route   visitors  could  appreciate  the  wonderful  undersea  world,  in  particular  the  1,200 – meter-long  coral  reefs.                                               
Mangkon  Bay :   Located  at  Koh  Klang  not  far  from  Suthep  bay,  has  fantastic  coral  reefs.  Large lobsters are found here.                                                                                            
Ri Che Lew Rocky Cluster, (Unseen in Thailand):    Located about 10 kms. Southwest of Koh Surin, could be appreciated during water recession. Most important, it is a deep sea diving site. Undersea wonders could be experienced here.  

Sea Gypsy Village;     Situated at the Bon Lek bay of Koh Surin Tai, comprises 20 houses.  They simply live their life as fisherman.  On full moon day in April, the sea gypsies here will annually hold a spirit-sacrifice ceremony. Those who wish to offer them charitable aid please contact the park’s office or purchase their handicrafts available at the service center and in the village.
Tao Bay:     Located at Koh Surin Tai, is a dwelling of sea tortoises.  Wonderful coral reefs could be perceived here.
Phak Kat Bay:  Situated near Tao bay, is blessed with fantastic coral reefs.
Koh Khai:   An islet located south of Kho Surin Tai, Is famous for wonderful coral reefs lying in the eastern coast and stunning fish. The best times for travel to Surin Islands National park are from November to April

Khao Sok National Park

  This virgin rainforest dotted by limestone mountain ranges and rugged high cliffs was established as a national park in 1980. The poised limestone mountains resemble to those in Guilin, China resulting in the local nickname of “Thailand’s Guilin”. Covering an area of approximately 646 square kilometers, the park extends beyond Ban Ta Kun, Phanom and Khiri Ratniyom Districts.
The main attractions in the park include Namtok Mae Yai which can be reached by car and Namtok Sip Ed Chan (eleven-tiered waterfall), situated approximately 4 kilometers from the park office. There are also other magnificent waterfalls and caves, which are mostly accessible by foot.
  Khao Sok is inhabited by rare wildlife such as wild elephants, leopards, serow, banteng, gaur, dusky langurs, tigers and Malayan sun bears. Bird lovers will be enthralled visiting, as there are over 180 bird species to watch.
  Rare floras are found along nature trails particularly to the south of the park where local plants such as lianas, bamboo, ferns and giant rattan, of over 10cm. in diameter, can be found. To top it all, the bua phut is perhaps what visitors to Khao Sok look forward to seeing most. Bua Phut or Rafflesia Kerri Meyer, a flower which can only be found in Khao Sok, is claimed as the largest flower in the world. When in full bloom, the Bua Phut is approximately 80 centimeters in diameter. The flower is a natural parasite without roots of its own, but relying on roots of a jungle vine to survive. The best time to see Bua Phut is from October to December, when they are in full bloom. Contact the park’s headquarters for a local guide. Note that a 5-8 hour walk is required to see such a rare flower. However, there photographs of Bua Phut in the headquarters’ office, with information displayed on the ecological system of the park.
  The park and other entrepreneurs provide bungalows, camping areas and raft-houses while accommodation owners normally provide food. Admission Fee: Adult 200 Baht Child 100 Baht
The park office is located 1.3 kilometers off of the Surat-Takua Pa Road at kilometer 109 marker. From Surat Thani City, take Highway No 401 to Takua Pa District (in Pang-nga province). Total distance is approximately 100 kilometers. The best time to visit Khoa Sok national Park is from December to April.

Daily 07.30 Am. -18.00 Pm.
Pick up from the hotel in Phuket approximately 07.30 Am. and transfer to the embarkation pier by air - conditioned bus. Late morning, embark on board "JUNE BAHTRA" and cruise through the enchanting Phang Nga Bay. Around noon, arrive at James Bond Island and cruise by long tail boat to visit the Sea Gypsy village. Visit the Mangrove Delta and the Grotto Cave. A delicious Thai buffet lunch is served on board, then an afternoon free to relax, sunbathe and swim. Cruise back to Phuket Island and transfer to the hotel.
